Delivery & Courier Policy
Company: The Engine Men
Company Registration Number: 2024/223034/07
Website: https://www.enginemen.com
1. Nationwide Delivery
The Engine Men offers nationwide courier and delivery services throughout South Africa for engines, gearboxes, turbos and motor vehicle parts. Delivery is subject to product availability, confirmation of cleared payment, courier coverage and the agreed delivery arrangements.
2. Payment Before Dispatch
Full payment must reflect as cleared funds in The Engine Men's bank account before an order will be dispatched or released for delivery. Proof of payment alone does not constitute confirmation of cleared funds.
3. Delivery Fees
Delivery and courier charges depend on the destination, weight, dimensions and type of product ordered. Customers will be informed of the applicable delivery fee before dispatch. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, delivery costs are payable by the customer. Heavy items, including engines and gearboxes, may require specialised transport and additional handling arrangements.
4. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery times are estimates and depend on the destination, courier availability and the time required to prepare an order for dispatch. Delays may occur because of public holidays, weather conditions, courier disruptions, remote delivery locations or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. The Engine Men will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delivery delays to customers.
5. Delivery Address
Customers must provide accurate delivery information, including their full name, contact number, physical address, suburb, town, province and postal code. Additional delivery charges may apply if an order needs to be redirected or redelivered because of incorrect information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable law and prior disclosure.
6. Tracking Orders
Where tracking details are provided by the courier, The Engine Men will share the available tracking number or reference with the customer. Tracking updates and estimated arrival dates are subject to the courier's systems and operations.
7. Receiving Your Order
Customers or their authorised representatives must be available to receive deliveries. Customers should inspect their goods upon arrival where reasonably possible. Visible damage, missing items or incorrect deliveries should be reported to The Engine Men as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 24 hours, with photographs and supporting documentation where available. This reporting request does not limit any statutory consumer rights.
8. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods
If goods arrive damaged, incomplete or different from the order placed, customers should contact The Engine Men with their invoice number, a description of the problem and supporting photographs where available. We will investigate the matter and arrange an appropriate resolution in accordance with the circumstances, our applicable terms and conditions, and South African law.
9. Failed Deliveries
If a delivery cannot be completed because the recipient is unavailable, the address is incorrect or access is restricted, the courier may arrange another delivery attempt or return the goods to its depot. Any additional charges will be handled in accordance with the courier's terms, the arrangements agreed with the customer and applicable law.
10. Heavy Goods and Offloading
Customers ordering engines, gearboxes or other heavy components must ensure that the delivery location is accessible and suitable for the transport vehicle. Any special offloading equipment or assistance required should be arranged before dispatch. Additional costs will be communicated before the arrangements are confirmed.
11. Returns and Warranty Deliveries
Delivery arrangements do not replace or override The Engine Men's applicable warranty, refund and exchange terms. Return transport costs for warranty claims or other returns will be determined by the circumstances, the applicable terms and conditions, and South African law.
12. Responsibility During Delivery
The Engine Men will arrange delivery in accordance with the agreed method and applicable law. Responsibility for loss or damage during transport will be determined by the delivery arrangements and applicable South African law. Nothing in this policy excludes consumer rights or legal obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Contact Information
